Writing for Wellbeing

Writing for Wellbeing

Writing for Wellbeing is an 8-10 week programme. Each week builds thematically on the one before, taking the writers on a journey that encourages authenticity, freedom and hope.

Each session is two hours long with plenty of time to socialise and drink tea and coffee built in.

Activities include a warm-up such as creating a human knot for the theme of relating together with a series of writing exercises and group sharing to explore the theme of the week.

Writing exercises might involve a prompt like a piece of music, a quote or an image to explore in writing and might involve writing independently or collaboratively.

  • Writers are encouraged to share but not pressured
  • Everything personal stays in the room
  • Workshops are a safe space

Our next Writing for Wellbeing programme starts on Tuesday 15th April, 6-8pm and continues on Tuesdays for 8 weeks. To see if there is space, please fill out our Referral Form.

The workshops will be held on Castlegate in Sheffield city centre. Scroll down for more details.
